When I met this family at Bellevue Botanical Gardens the first thing mom and dad said was there was very little chance of getting their two girls to pose for a photo. They were completely right! We had so much fun running around the gardens though. The youngest found a large stick pretty early on and then there was no chance of getting that thing away from her. Luckily she is adorable with that stick. I discovered toward the end of the shoot that the oldest girl loves to jump off of things. She had a blast jumping off of a rock and seeing herself on the back of my camera after each jump.
These two boys are a handful. This family was the first of 6 sessions I had this past Saturday at Bellevue Botanical Gardens. We had a beautiful sunny day and I had a blast running around with all 6 families. The little guy in this family was very hard to get a smile out of but we made it work.
I could use this beautiful momma's house for all my photo shoots - it is gorgeous. The second I stepped in there I became giddy to play around with the beautiful light and character all over the house! Plus their adorable little one-eyed yorkie has the most styling hair cut. I loved spending the afternoon with this beautiful family and got to spend even more time with them once their baby girl arrived! I'll save the cheek pinching newborn photos for another post.
Claire and I met while working for Bella Baby Photography. When she contacted me to photograph her wedding I was ecstatic! She is just the sweetest person and has a gorgeous smile. Claire and Travis knew they wanted to do their engagement session at Snoqualmie Pass. Travis currently works at the pass PLUS that is where they met while they both were working there. I loved the idea of a snowy engagement session and could not wait. Well turns out we had to wait for the snow. The timing kept not working out with the weather and me being out of town. Finally last week we knew that the pass would be getting quite a bit of snow this week so we set it up and hoped for it to be true. Oh boy was it! I think we may have overdone it on the "snowy thoughts" because there was just a ton of it. Travis took us up to the top of the mountain on the Snow Cat - it was amazing. The amount of snow at the top was incredible. We were a bit limited on where we could go as there was so much fresh snow we couldn't walk on it. We made it work though. It was freezing and wet but totally worth it. Oh and they brought their beautiful dog Porter along! Does it get any better??
