Claire & Travis' Snowy Engagement Session {Snoqualmie Pass Engagement Photography}

Claire and I met while working for Bella Baby Photography. When she contacted me to photograph her wedding I was ecstatic! She is just the sweetest person and has a gorgeous smile. Claire and Travis knew they wanted to do their engagement session at Snoqualmie Pass. Travis currently works at the pass PLUS that is where they met while they both were working there. I loved the idea of a snowy engagement session and could not wait. Well turns out we had to wait for the snow. The timing kept not working out with the weather and me being out of town. Finally last week we knew that the pass would be getting quite a bit of snow this week so we set it up and hoped for it to be true. Oh boy was it! I think we may have overdone it on the "snowy thoughts" because there was just a ton of it. Travis took us up to the top of the mountain on the Snow Cat - it was amazing. The amount of snow at the top was incredible. We were a bit limited on where we could go as there was so much fresh snow we couldn't walk on it. We made it work though. It was freezing and wet but totally worth it. Oh and they brought their beautiful dog Porter along! Does it get any better??

Josh and Family {Los Angeles Family Photography}

Josh is...my cousin? I admit I do not know exactly what you call your cousin's kid. I have had many conversations with many people over what you call these wonderful people. Second cousins? First cousin once removed? I believe it is one of those but dear God I never remember. So Josh is my cousin! Moving on. I debated for quite some time on whether to start this post with embarrassing beautiful old family photos but I am sure Rebecca would kill me. I have a spectacular one of me and her probably at Sears but I will refrain. The moral of the story is I cannot believe that Josh is a senior. That blows my mind. I have a photo of him in my high school senior photography project. He was 8. He is now one handsome high school senior - and he doesn't even know it. I also have a photo of his little sister Justine in that album. She has grown into such a beautiful person inside and out. I am so glad that I got to photograph Josh and his family while down in Los Angeles this month. I truly enjoy the time we spend with them. We are always laughing :) We had to do a pretty quick shoot because we were nearing sunset but man that sun. I dream of sun like that up here in Seattle. I think I am going to have to go down there for more photo shoots just to soak in that sun. Anyway, on to the photos!! My personal favorite of Josh!

Mariko & Donald {Seattle Wedding Photography}

Now that is has been 6 months since I second shot this wedding with Yee Feng of Feng Images (Check out his work - he will blow your socks right off!) I think I shall blog about it. Mariko and Don might be the most welcoming couple I have ever met. I genuinely had a great time spending their day with them. You can see I spent time photographing the guys while Yee was with the girls. They are a great group of guys - totally into trying all the crazy pose ideas I came up with. This was my first time at the Georgetown Ballroom and all I can say is WOW! I think it is my new favorite venue. If you happen to watch Top Chef Georgetown Ballroom was the site for Restaurant Wars.
